A meaningful journey

For several years in a row, we have been conducting a series of Meaningful Journeys in collaboration with the Kiev School of Psychology. During our collaboration, we have visited Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt, and the Carpathian Mountains.

Each of these trips was vivid and unforgettable. I will highlight the two most significant ones for me: a trip to Hurghada (Egypt) and to the Poliana resort (Ukraine).
In Egypt, we had a large group. Every day was so intense that it felt like we were there for two months rather than a week. In the morning, we had yoga or other sports activities, in the afternoon there were classes on aromatherapy and psychology, and in the evening there were interesting discussions about the meaning of life and tastings of local dishes in à la carte restaurants. The aromatherapy lectures were given by the founder of an aromatherapy oil company, and I still use the knowledge I gained there. There were Helinger constellation practices and psychology classes. Each of us took away a piece of the beautiful Red Sea coast, knowledge and positive emotions.
The trip to the Carpathians opened up new knowledge and meanings about life for me. Words cannot describe everything — you have to experience it for yourself. The events took place at a balneological resort, and along with a mental reset, we were able to cleanse our gastrointestinal tract.
Meaningful travel is not just a change of scenery, but a profound personal experience. It leaves not so much a ‘mark on the map' as an imprint on the soul:
— deep self-awareness;
— discovering the world in all its complexity and beauty — seeing new places not just through the eyes of a tourist, but as a living system — with people, concerns, hopes;
— a meaningful reset — sometimes such trips bring long-awaited answers to inner questions;
— deep connections with people;
— new knowledge and skills;
— on such trips, you often learn something unusual: meditation, crafts, bodywork, a new language, cooking, or simply how to live slowly and authentically;
— emotional cleansing;
— contribution to the world: volunteering, helping, participating in projects.

Such trips are inspiring and leave a lasting and pleasant impression.
