Imperial Vacation

Have any of us ever wanted to feel like an emperor? In ancient times, Roman emperors actively visited the resort of Abano Terme, as thermal waters and mud were part of their culture. European aristocrats and kings valued the healing properties of the local springs, which helped with joint and skin diseases and served as a place for rest and relaxation.
I had heard a lot about this resort, so it became the starting point for our big Italian trip. Abano Terme is very conveniently located in relation to Venice and Padua, which allowed us to explore cultural attractions and enjoy its natural riches — the thermal baths. After all, the distance from Venice to Abano Terme is about 70 km, and to Padua — only 12 km.
This resort is very cozy and welcoming, democratic and refined at the same time. Thermal waters and mud relieve fatigue, invigorate the body and allow the nervous system to reboot. There are magnificent hotels in light colors here, and every corner of this place gives a feeling of relaxation and comfort. The resort’s hotels deserve special attention, with their typical northern Italian cuisine and excellent service: Grand Hotel Trieste & Victoria, Hotel Mioni Pezzato & SPA, Hotel Savoia Thermæ & Spa, Hotel La Residence, Galzignano Resort Terme & Golf — Hotel Splendid, Hotel Abano Ritz, Hotel Venezia Terme, Atlantic Terme Natural Spa & Hotel.

Near Abano Terme is the resort of Montegrotto Terme, located
at the foot of the Euganean Hills and surrounded by nature, which
gives it a more secluded and peaceful atmosphere.

During our stay at the resort, we visited several incredibly colorful and interesting places that are typical of Italy: Monselice, a historic town with a castle on a hill, ancient churches and beautiful views; Arquà Petracca, a charming medieval village; Padua, a city with a rich history; and, of course, Venice. We also visited Parco Del Venda, a winery with wine tasting and a good selection of wines.

Walks around the resort, along the vineyards, spa treatments, swimming in thermal pools — all this gave us the opportunity to experience northern Italy in all its glory!
