I remember my first encounter with Vitznau — we arrived in the town early in the morning. The minibus driver was friendly and told us some interesting stories about life in the Baltic country where he came from. The accompaniment to this conversation set the right mood for my first acquaintance with the area.
I had no expectations of Vitznau. I knew there was a lake there, and that was the extent of my knowledge of this wonderful region, due to the hustle and bustle of life and the quick decision to take this trip.

The first surprise for me was Rigi, a mountain range with the highest peak at 1,797 meters above sea level, located between Lake Lucerne and Lake Zug. Before I knew it, I was breathing in the fresh mountain air from the window of the train that was taking us along the mountain railway to the summit, where we were greeted by numerous hiking trails, beautiful cows grazing on the hillsides, and the beauty of the local rural architecture, with incredible, breathtaking views of the lakes!
I must admit that during the descent from the mountain, on the same magical train, I said dozens of prayers of gratitude for being in this wonderful place, among beautiful people and nature.

It was a true gift from Heaven!
The next morning began with swimming in the lake, walks around the town and a magnificent breakfast. The landscapes complemented our spiritual practices.
In the afternoon, we went on a short cruise to the town of Lucerne. How beautiful this boat trip across the lake was! We sailed past beautiful islands, beaches, cozy hotels, with sailing boats floating alongside us and rays of joy, gratitude and love sparkling in the lake water.

We spent one evening on the terrace of the magnificent Park Hotel Vitznau. Truly, there are buildings on our planet that can speak, radiating a special energy and warmth.
After spending time in Vitznau, the lake and mountains seem to become a part of you. And when you leave these places, you take these feelings, joyful experiences and warm memories with you forever, with only one desire — to return here again.
