Our wedding took place in the spring, in April, after the Easter celebrations. We arrived in Cyprus on the eve of Easter, when the locals were decorating the island, flowers were blooming, and the island was waking up after winter. Since we had enough time, we decided to celebrate Easter with our family in Cyprus and then have a little pre-wedding holiday while waiting for our guests to arrive.

We had visited the island many times before and loved everything about it! We travelled to every corner of it, stayed in mountain hotels, on the coast of the famous Nissi Beach, explored the port of Limassol and the rocks of Paphos, the wide beaches of Latchi, the sites of Aphrodite, monasteries, temples and colourful Cypriot villages. In short, we felt at home here. That is why we chose this place for the most important day of our lives.

Since we wanted to have an Orthodox wedding ceremony in the beautiful Church of St. Lazarus in Larnaca, we decided to stay and hold the celebration nearby, at the lovely Golden Bay Beach Hotel.

Of course, we want to remember every little detail of our wedding day and talk about it all the time. We had wonderful specialists in decor, dress selection, make-up artists and hairdressers, an event host and musicians, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone for our happy day! Our wedding ceremony took place in the morning. It was very touching and profound. The church was decorated with flowers and beautiful music was playing. We wanted this day to be light and joyful. Therefore, for all interested guests, we booked a yacht trip along the coast. In the evening, there was a wedding ceremony in the hotel garden overlooking the sea and, of course, a Cypriot dinner with national dances and traditions! Oh, what a delicious day it was!

We didn’t have many guests — up to 70 people — so many of them wanted to stay on the island after the wedding to spend a few days relaxing on the coast. We were no exception — our honeymoon continued in the delightful village of Latchi, at the romantic Anassa Hotel.
